Arlington Hts. to screen for cholesterol

The Village of Arlington Heights is having a Cholesterol Clinic from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, to commemorate National Heart Awareness Month. Screenings will be held at the Village of Arlington Heights, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road in the Health Department.

The total testing, which includes HDL and LDL cholesterol screening, is $20. The LDL requires a 14-hour fast, and Medicare cannot be billed for this service as the Village of Arlington Heights is not an approved provider.

Also available are free blood pressure readings and weight with BMI and body fat analysis. Screenings are provided by the Village of Arlington Heights Health Department Nurses. (847) 368-5760 to make an appointment.
