Grayslake Central stretches winning streak to eight

Josh Rappaport scored all of his team-high 15 points in the first half, as Grayslake Central's boys basketball cruised to a 78-50 nonconference win over Glenbrook South in Glenview on Tuesday night.

Grayslake Central (14-6), which won its eighth straight, received 10 points apiece Matt Murphy, Jordan Taylor and C.J. Stempeck. Steve Brocious chipped in nine. Murphy sank three 3-pointers, while Rappaport hit a pair.

The Rams led 17-14 after the first quarter, 41-25 at halftime and 58-33 after three.

Grayslake Central hosts Grayslake North on Wednesday night.
