Mitchell to replace Hayes as judge

With 94 percent of precincts reporting, Raymond W. Mitchell won the Democratic nomination to replace the Hon. Marsha D. Hayes as judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Unofficial results had Mitchell with 44 percent of the vote, compared to 35 percent for Bonnie Carol McGrath and 22 percent for Carl B. Boyd. The term runs 6 years.
