Callahan leads big in judicial primary

Judicial candidate John Patrick Callahan held a commanding lead over Joanne F. Fehn in the Democratic primary to replace the Hon. Daniel J. Kelley as judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

With 94 percent of precincts reporting, Callahan had 70 percent of the vote with 289,481 votes compared to Fehn's 30 percent, with 125,439 votes.

The term runs six years.

All election results are unofficial.
