Is 'do not call' too hard to understand?
It appears that the politicians have exempted themselves from the national "do not call" list. My phone has been ringing off the hook every night for weeks. My caller ID shows odd sounding names like "service message" or just "800 service," then the answering machine picks up and the automated voice of a politician comes on to ask for my vote.
The purpose of the do not call list was to allow people to opt out of the non stop phone solicitations that had become a nightly nuisance for years. We the people have asked via the national "do not call" list to not be bothered. Politicians feel that does not apply to them; hey are wrong. Though they may have exempted themselves, all they have done is show the people again that politicians feel they are above the laws they create. I am tired of the non stop phone calls. I am sure I am not alone in asking that my wishes be respected. Politicians, what part of "do not call," do you not understand?
