Webb is committed to good business
I am writing to encourage you to vote for Brad Webb for the DuPage County Board, District 4. He would bring a fresh perspective the board. Brad is a lifelong resident of the district.
He has served on the boards of the Wheaton Bank and Trust, Benet Academy and the University of St. Francis. Brad is the controller of Packey Webb Ford; former president of the Glen Ellyn Economic Development Corporation. He knows what it takes to meet payroll for over 100 employees every two weeks.
He would work with Choose DuPage to aggressively recruit companies for our country. We need to start running our government as a business and Brad could do that as he has with his own business. Brad wants to make sure that the County Board has a contingency plan for their budgets, which it does not have now. He wants the board to lead by example and cut their salary first, then make sure every dime is being spent wisely. We need a better system to measure effectiveness of county programs: As in business and on other boards, Brad wants to make sure we're measuring output - effectiveness of programs, rather than just inputs - the dollars we spend.
I hope you will consider that a vote for Brad Webb will be a vote for more efficient government in DuPage County, which can only help all of us during this difficult economy.
