Walsh represents Republican values

Voters in the 8th Congressional District are being presented with a golden opportunity to affect real change in the destructive policies of the United States Congress.

The party in power is transforming this country at such an alarming pace that in a few years, we may find it unrecognizable. Not to excuse the Republicans, as many, if not most, have done much to contribute to our decline.

In the upcoming Republican primary, Joe Walsh is the only principled and motivated candidate that has what it takes to defeat the incumbent Democrat Melissa Bean.

Joe is capable of holding her feet to the fire, and forcing her to repent for her middle-class destroying votes in favor of the so called "stimulus" Wall Street bailouts, cap and trade (which would be the biggest tax increase in history), and anti-energy independence.

Joe calls himself a "tea party Republican" to differentiate his positions from those who are simply using the Republican label to get elected under false pretenses. Joe is a true believer in the proven formula responsible for our country's greatness and success: the U.S. Constitution, as written and intended.

He would apply this standard to his votes in Congress, and serve the 8th District with the good representation we need to constructively contribute to our country's well being.

For most of us who still read newspapers, a restoration of the America we knew growing up is important: that is Joe's priority.

For younger people, he offers hope for the future, that they might inherit the blessings of a country free from the yoke of an oppressive government.

In our well-educated, affluent district, we should be ashamed if we fail to improve our poor representation in Congress. Joe Walsh can once again make us proud of the person we send to Washington.
