More gambling means more corruption
Forty years ago Illinois Governor Richard Olgilvie started the first Illinois state income tax. Then the citizens of Illinois were told that the beginning of the state lottery would solve all the state's financial problems for years to come. Then the state-licensed casinos were started and they were going solve our financial problems.
Now we're being told that gambling machines in bars and restaurants are the answer to the state's debt. The only ones getting rich off gambling in Illinois are the mob and the politicians. The state will forever be broke as corruption is now the norm in this state which for some reason there will never be enough money to pay its bills.
The bottom line is; the more gambling, the more corruption and debt.
