DuPage needs finance expert like Webb
I would like to encourage people to consider voting for Brad Webb for the DuPage County Board. This is why.
Our county offers programs and services that are paid for by our money. I want to know that my money is being managed and spent wisely, and only for the things the county government should be spending it on. We need people whose only interest is in serving us responsibly, ensuring the county is responsive and efficient in doing their work and is committed to keeping our fiscal house in order. We must have people on the Board, like Brad, who understand this.
Brad has been the controller for Packey Webb Ford for the majority of his career. He oversees the budget and payroll for over 100 employees. He understands what it takes to make a business run and stay viable (especially in these fiscally challenging times). To him, customer service and product quality are the keys to success. He can bring this business way of thinking to the board.
Brad Webb believes there needs to be discipline in managing the finances of the county-he calls for the development of emergency contingency budgets if revenues fall short of overly optimistic projections. He demands accountability on how money is spent by measuring real-world outputs rather than just the financial inputs. And he'll insist on low tax rates, offer strategies to bring new businesses to DuPage and to help develop business already here.
Let's make sure our county board works for us and manages our money responsibly. These are serious times and we need a serious businessman's mindset at the county level. Consider giving Brad Webb your vote.
