Sled hockey game Friday

The Fremd High School Hockey Club and the Chicago Suburban Hornets Sled Hockey Team will play a game of sled hockey tonight from 8 to 9:40 p.m. at the Hoffman Estates Ice Arena.

The game aims to raise awareness and funds for the Hornets.

Manager J.J. O'Connor founded the team and has been named the manager of the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey team this year in Vancouver. The ice arena is located at 1685 W. Higgins Road. There's no charge to attend, but donations are welcome.
