Sweet victory for Sauer, Grayslake North

Brooke Sauer was sweet.

The sophomore scored a career-high 14 points, going 8 of 8 from the foul line, and grabbed 6 rebounds to help Grayslake North's girls basketball team snap a three-game losing streak with a 56-51 win over visiting Woodstock North on Wednesday night.

The Knights (10-13, 4-6) also received 16 points and 9 rebounds from Lauren Erickson. Kinsey Siler added 12 points.

Grayslake Central 74, Woodstock 40: Skyler Jessop led three players in double figures with 13 points, as the host Rams tuned up for tonight's Fox Valley Fox showdown at Johnsburg with a convincing win.

Kat Dickson and Rebekah Llorens added 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Grayslake Central (16-5, 9-1). Alex Scarbro and Maddy Miller each scored 7 points for the home team, which led 21-8 after one quarter and 45-21 at halftime.
