Harangody closing in on Notre Dame, Big East marks
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Game by game, Notre Dame forward Luke Harangody is getting closer to breaking some impressive Notre Dame and Big East records.
Harangody is on pace to pass former Syracuse guard Lawrence Moten as the all-time leading scorer in Big East games and former Irish standout Austin Carr as the school's leading scorer. He's on pace to break Moten's record in seven games. The Irish have 10 regular-season games left.
He also is on pace to break the league rebounding record held by Syracuse's Derrick Coleman.
Harangody says the records are something he never imagined when he arrived at Notre Dame four years ago hoping just to break into the lineup.
