BGHS offers middle school dance camp

Area middle school/junior high school girls who love to dance and would like to improve their skills are invited to participate in Buffalo Grove High School's Bison Middle School Dance Camp Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Jan. 25, 27, and 28, from 6-7:30 p.m. The group will meet in the theater foyer of BGHS on the first day of camp. The camp will be held in the school cafeteria; BGHS is located at Dundee and Arlington Heights Roads in Buffalo Grove. Participants will also perform with the BGHS Poms at halftime during the girls' varsity basketball home game on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

Registration is $20 for the first child in the family and $15 for each additional child. The fee includes the following: a Bison Middle School Dance Camp t-shirt; three days of practice with instruction and dance technique; pom, hip-hop, kick and jazz routine training; certificate of completion; performance during halftime; and preparation and tips for future high school tryouts.

Registration will take place on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 3-4:30 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 22, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the BGHS Theater foyer. Parents may also register their daughters online by emailing the Poms head coach, christina.govert@d214.org with the following information: Name of Camper; Middle School and Grade; Address of Camper; T-shirt size -Youth S, YM, YL, Adult S, AM, AL; Name of Parent/Guardian; and Emergency Phone Number(s). A confirmation email will be sent. All registrations must be received by Sunday, Jan. 24.
