Village didn't have to destroy woods

Apparently the Village of Arlington Heights thinks we need more empty, obscure space and less natural areas as my husband and I and other homeowners watch the destruction of what once was a little woods behind our townhouses.

We were told by the Department of Public Works that this was a security issue, seems homeless people are wandering the Village and they may take up refuge in the woods.

Now, that's a solution,  chop down the  trees and also every bush and shrub as they did here (watch out if you have a natural area nearby, it maybe in peril).

This destruction has totally ruined our property and its value, we now have the pleasure of an unobstructed  view of Route 12 Rental on Rand Road.

However, even worse for us is the complete disregard  in preserving the few natural areas remaining in Arlington Heights.
