If Bajor wants to leave, let him

If Jason Bajor desires to resign as city manager of Des Plaines let him, city council members and Mr. Mayor, Martin Moylan.

Jason, you had a lot of nerve calling Rosemary Argus, 8th ward alderman, on Christmas and also City Attorney David Wiltse asking them to advise you on what kind of severance you could receive if you resigned.

There is no need to vote in a closed session, city council members, as to whether Jason should receive some sort of severance if he decides to resigns. Don't you know the rules/law Mr. Bajor resigns vs. firing him? Citizens of Des Plaines pay his salary and

benefits. I wish I could make $138,000 a year.

So Jason if you resign, I gather you are a vested employee since you have served in many capacities in the last 10 years. Take the money that is due you and city council give him his COBRA and walk Jason.

So Dan, Pattie and Jean - I watch the city council meetings. Jason acts in a professional manner. So what are the issues with Mr. Bajor? Yes, we had to balance the budget, we are not the only city to do this in hard economic times.

If Mr. Bajor had the idea of laying off city employees that is great. My reasoning is there are city employees who think they have a job for life when employed by the government. So wake up city employees, I pay taxes, I pay your salary.
