American Mattress helping Marklund

It's 2010. People have begun new diets and a new gym memberships, so why not a new mattress? American Mattress is giving a post-holiday gift to Marklund. All Marklund employees, families, friends and the public will receive a 15 percent discount on any mattress, excluding Tempur-Pedic, headboard, daybed, bunk bed or futon from American Mattress. The company will donate 5 percent of sales back to Marklund and its compassionate care of infants, children and adults with severe developmental disabilities.

"We appreciate American Mattress's kind gesture," said Vicki Krystof, director of development for Marklund. "Everyone needs a new mattress every now and then, so why not start the year off right? If such a purchase is made, everyone wins, knowing that the mattress buyer is supporting our mission and all of the children and adults we serve."

Mike Kenna and Frank DeMaio, co-owners of American Mattress, will extend this opportunity from now through Sunday, Jan. 31. American Mattress was founded in 1988 with a mission to create customers for life, and after 21 years, there are 80 stores. Kenna and DeMaio are committed to community partnering, and for 2009, they have selected Marklund.

To take advantage of this opportunity, purchasers must have a coupon which is available at Marklund's Web site at marklund.org/waystohelp. For information, call Vicki Krystof at (630) 593-5482.
