Christian Liberty rallies past IMSA

Christian Liberty sophomore Luke Comerouski has been on an offensive tear lately.

Comerouski continued it with 21 points Friday night as the Chargers (9-7, 3-3) rallied for a 60-55 Northeastern Athletic Conference boys basketball victory over Illinois Math and Science Academy at Grace Gym in Arlington Heights.

Aaron Johnson added 15 points and 6 rebounds and Gabriel Clayborne and Nathan Elleson scored 9 points apiece as the Chargers rallied from a 41-40 deficit after three quarters. They went 18-for-23 on free throws as Comerouski and Johnson each were 7-for-8.

Proviso East 81, Leyden 51: Mike Woolf scored 11 points and Eric Palmer and Patrick Listwan added 8 points apiece for Leyden (6-8, 2-3) in the West Suburban Gold loss at Proviso East (11-4, 6-0).
