Peterson story erodes our trust in police

Almost the saddest part of the Drew Peterson hearings is learning that several people did not report Kathleen Savio's fears to the police because of a belief that Peterson was "one of their own" and nothing would be done.

Apparently the days of trusting "Officer Friendly" are also victims in this ugly mess.
