GOP needs Brady, a true conservative

Finally Republicans have a candidate to get excited about. After years of lackluster candidates and dull campaigns, I'm excited to be supporting Bill Brady, and I want to tell my neighbors why.

After years of Chicago rule, we have the opportunity to send a downstater to the Governor's Office to reign in the corruption, deficit spending and talk of tax increases that defines Chicago politics.

Bill Brady represents a very real contrast that none of his Chicago-based opponents can offer, and Brady represents our chance to do in Illinois what Scott Brown did in winning the late Ted Kennedy's U.S. Senate seat from Massachusetts.

In the Governor's races in Virginia and New Jersey and now in Massachusetts, blue states went red not because the Republican candidate ran like a Democrat. Instead, good, conservative candidates won by combining the conservative Republican base with independents and disaffected Democrats.

In Illinois, downstater Bill Brady, a State Senator just like Scott Brown, is the Republican best-positioned to do exactly that, and I encourage my friends and neighbors to do the same. This is our chance.
