Candidate to ensure we live within means

I am a resident of the 5th Ward of Elmhurst and have benefited from the representation of Alderman Chris Nybo.

He has been very proactive in the ward (addressing school safety and public bike path hazard issues) and he has also listened carefully to my concerns about the fiscal irresponsibility I have asked him to fight when he holds higher office.

He knows how weary many residents have become with the endless slate of increased spending, spending, and more spending, especially during recessionary times when taxpayers have many other competing demands for their stretched incomes. Chris is well-educated, highly energized and really committed to public service, but equally importantly, he is raising a family in an astonishingly tax-happy and deficit-laden state.

He is sharing firsthand in the pains of a government which consistently takes too much from the taxpayer and offers too little innovation in creatively and responsibly managing revenue shortfalls. If you are tired of coping with referendum after referendum and tax increase after tax increase from every imaginable taxing authority, please cast your vote for Nybo for state representative to signal that it's time the government live within its means - just as most area residents and families are forced to do.
