For Cook County Board Dist. 14, Republican: Goslin
In the Republican primary for Cook County Board District 14, incumbent Gregg Goslin is the clear choice. A self-described reformer, he is a vital member of a group of commissioners, mainly Republicans, that has successfully taken on board President Todd Stroger's sales tax hike and helped create an independent board to run the county hospital. Goslin should be returned to office so he can continue fighting to keep the hospital independently run and can watch over spending and taxes. Also seeking the nomination is Patrick O'Donoghue. The winner will face Democrat Jennifer Bishop Jenkins in the November election.
