It's time to dump Quinn and Stroger

Both Gov. Pat Quinn and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger seem to think that tax increases are the cure all for budget deficits.

However, when businesses shutter their doors because they cannot afford these taxes the budget deficits will get larger than they are now. It is a never ending situation until the state has to declare bankruptcy.

How many more Sam's Clubs will be closed if the taxes are increased as the governor is suggesting? This governor has done almost nothing to reduce the spending that is causing the huge budget deficit. He seems to avoid doing anything for fear he will lose the next election. In his eyes the ones he will turn off the most are state workers. He seems to assume the rest of the people in the state are simply blind fools he can charm with his clean-up-the-state speeches that have no meat in them. Because of this he is even worse for the voting majority than Blagojevich.

The pension plan deficits have increased. Why wait to do something to stop this bleeding?

The voters need to quit voting stupidly and finally start voting for their own wallets by voting only for people who have successively run businesses for all state and county offices. Business managers tend to use Chief Financial Officers to help manage company money instead of Chief Spending Officers to manage tax money available as our current politicians seem to have been doing. Then they think so what if they increase taxes for those stupid voters.
