For DuPage County Board District 5, Republican: Zediker

Even though DuPage County Board member John Zediker has never before run for office, he emerged last year from a group of 10 well-qualified candidates in filling the vacancy of Michael Connelly, now a state representative.

His qualifications then show ample reason as to why he should now be the Republican nominee for the District 5 seat, which serves predominantly Naperville, Lisle and Aurora.

Zediker, of Naperville and president of developer Moser Enterprises, brings a wealth of business and governmental planning and development experience. He worked as the city of Naperville's transportation director and also served as a planner in DeKalb and Kankakee.

He has a clear vision of the importance of fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability in these troubled economic times. He also understands the urgency of investing in our infrastructure while attracting and retaining businesses to DuPage that will help support that mission.

Zediker is opposed by Joe Wozniak, a member of the DuPage Regional Board of School Trustees, and a frequent candidate for local and regional offices. He comes well prepared, but Zediker's credentials are too strong to be overlooked. Zediker is endorsed.
