Meijer and the American Heart Association sponsor poster contest

Contest runs from Feb. 1-15; entries available at Meijer stores and at americanheart.org.

Meijer and the American Heart Association are sponsoring a "Start! Living Healthy" poster contest for children ages 12 and under, to encourage local kids to take steps toward a healthier lifestyle. Children are asked to draw pictures of themselves and their families making healthy choices, like exercising and eating fruits and vegetables. The grand prize winner will receive a gift basket valued at $100, and two runners-up will receive gift baskets valued at $50.

Entry forms will be available at Meijer stores and online at americanheart.org/startchicago starting Monday, Feb. 1. Completed posters should be mailed to the Start! Living Healthy Contest, c/o The American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604. Entries must be postmarked by Monday, Feb. 15.
