Vote against bad governing
For years, Governor Quinn has walked with the Democrats in the Wheaton Fourth of July Parade.
Recently on his watch, violent prisoners were released from prison to save money.
Did he fire the head of the Illinois Department of Corrections, relatively new on his job? No, he hired a veteran Chicago Police Department Executive at $115,000 to look after the matter.
In the meantime, the state struggles with an $11 billion shortfall. There are opportunists among us. In a recent meeting structured by the League of Woman voters, two candidates sparred over the $56,000 superintendent's job of the DuPage County Forest Preserve. (These men admittedly had other significant sources of income.)
Illinois has an unemployment rate of plus 10 percent. These people will not have my vote. Independents, arise.
