History will prove bill is flawed

Yes Virginia, there is a Grinch. Christmas morning the papers greeted us with an enormous Trojan horse, masquerading as "health care reform." This bill passed by the Senate, is neither health care nor reform. It is a vehicle for the government takeover of health care, one sixth of our economy. Republicans are for actual and real health care reform. But this bill is so bad that even democrats had to be bribed to vote for it, $300 million for Landrieu of Louisiana, $100 million for Nelson of Nebraska, etc. These bribes are not chump change, these are hundreds of millions of dollars of our hard-earned tax dollars.

The price for Judas was only 30 pieces of silver.

The bill provides for 123 separate new government agencies. One of which will be headed by a super czar that will set government mandated standards of who gets what care and how much the health care providers will be compensated for services.

Who needs the public option? When a board decides, all in the name of cost cutting, that you as a 70-year-old can't have the proper drugs for your cancer treatment because the drug is too expensive and you are too old, or you have to wait for a life saving operation two years because there is a waiting list and you die in the meantime, then this government board is making life and death decisions.

Yes Virginia, these are "death panels."

On Christmas morning Christians celebrated the birth of Christ. The Democrats celebrated a "historic moment." Some historic moments are good, and some are bad. The passage of this health care reform bill is a bad historic moment!
