GOP doesn't need moderates like Kirk

So who is Mark Kirk? He is the RNC (Republican National Committee) candidate for the Senate. But who really is Mark Kirk?

Congressman Kirk was the only Republican in Illinois to vote with the Democrats on cap and trade, as if the economy isn't bad enough as it is. Yet, he has the audacity to call himself a fiscal conservative. He was wrong on Iraq when he voted against the surge. He voted with the Democrats to appose drilling in Anwar. The NRA gives him a "D" on the Second Amendment. Mr. Kirk voted with the Democrats in support of the most brutal abortion procedure, partial birth abortion.

Why the RNC continues to foist so-called moderates like Mark Kirk on us is beyond me. The last thing we Republicans need in the Senate is another Olympia Snowe or an Arlen Specter.
