• A "Singing with the Broadway Stars" virtual contest runs through Monday, Feb. 8. The contest is for people who want to win a chance to perform alongside Broadway veterans in the touring show "Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway" during its stop at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at the Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, off I-57 at Sauk Trail, University Park. • The Lyric Opera of Chicago has auditions for experienced, classically trained singers to join its chorus for the 2010-11 season. Tenors are particularly encouraged to apply.
