Floral showcase at Fremd

Five floral designers from the Northwest suburbs will be the center of attention Jan. 26, as the Fremd Music Association presents its 31st annual Floral Design Showcase, "Rhapsody in Bloom," 7-9:30 p.m. at Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.

The floral designers will be on stage, creating fresh floral arrangements to be given away to the winning attendees. The commentator for the evening will be Joyce Grattoni, AIFD, floral educator and former chair of the Harper College Horticulture Department.

Designers are coming from Barrington Floral Shop, Busse's Flowers and Gifts, Payton Floral Company, Surroundings by Colin and Sylvia's Flowers.

Altogether, they will give away more than 40 designs to those who have purchased tickets, which are $20 apiece.

The ticket is your chance to win.

The evening will include entertainment and special performances by Fremd music students and complimentary refreshments during intermission.
