Cops: St. Charles man exposed self at Meijer
A St. Charles man was charged with public indecency after he was caught masturbating in the electronics department at Meijer, police said Monday.
Anthomy M. Montagner-Gilmore, 20, of the 6N700 block of Somerset Drive, was arrested about 10 p.m. Jan. 5 after employees monitoring security cameras saw him touching himself, St. Charles police spokesman Paul McCurtain said.
Officers responding to the store, 855 S. Randall Road, arrested Montagner-Gilmore at the scene without incident. He was charged additionally with drug paraphernalia possession and cannabis possession after police found him carrying a glass pipe and a baggie of marijuana, according to McCurtain.
"This was really a good job by (Meijer) loss prevention, who were watching on the cameras and called (police) right away," he said.
Public indecency is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $2,500 fine. Montagner-Gilmore appears to have no prior criminal history in Kane County, according to court records. His next court date is Feb. 25.
