Sugar Grove to welcome new Vision Plus office
Open house: The village of Sugar Grove, the Sugar Grove Economic Development Corporation and the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry will welcome Dr. Joshua L. Korsgarden and the staff of Vision Plus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15. Vision Plus is located at 472 N. Route 47, Unit 104.
"Sugar Grove is fortunate that Dr. Korsgarden recognized the benefits of opening a business in his hometown," said Shari Baum, Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce executive director. "He also recognizes that as Sugar Grove continues to grow so does the need for a variety of businesses and services."

Webinars: On Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Friday, Jan. 22, the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host webinars about the impact of Cap and Trade policy proposals on Illinois business at 11 a.m. in meeting room A of the Sugar Grove Public Library, 125 S. Municipal Drive. These free webinars are offered by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
Wednesday's webinar, "Greenhouse Cap and Trade - In Theory," will provide bipartisan perspectives on the issues surrounding current policy proposals intending to limit greenhouse gases through a "cap and trade" system. Energy policy experts from B&D Consulting in Washington, D. C. will present this webinar.
On Friday, UK in the USA will present "Greenhouse Cap and Trade - In Practice." In Great Britain, businesses have been operating under a cap and trade system and other greenhouse gas reduction policies for years. This webinar will show how did they adapted, what it cost them, and how it is working.
