Work for people, not for parties

When are we going to hold the people we elect to office to the principles of working for their constituents? That means all of their constituents, not just the ones that are in their political party.

Politicians, from both parties, are not doing what they are supposed to do when getting elected to the Congress or the Senate. Politics is working together, for the common good, and not to just ensure your party will come out the winner.

How many times has one party or another come up with a good idea, but because it wasn't thought up by "your" party, it can't be a good idea as that would look like compromise, which is exactly what politicians are supposed to be doing?

The previous administration was lead by the most partisan political party in this country's history. Because of that, they lost many elections this past time around and now the Democrats are, basically, trying to emulate the Republicans of that era.

Why don't they understand that the same thing is going to happen to them the next time elections role around? BOTH parties are wrong. It is shameful and disgusting that politicians want to jam their political parties' ideas down everyone's throat.

Negotiations, compromise and working together for the good of all people is what their mantra is and we, as voters, should hold their feet to the fire to produce.
