Zion-Benton beats Lake Zurich to stay unbeaten in NSC Lake

Zion-Benton's girls basketball team remained undefeated in the North Suburban Lake Division, pulling out a 48-45 win over host Lake Zurich on Friday night.

Shay Jackson scored 14 points to lead the Zee-Bees, who improved to 6-0 in the NSC Lake.

Lake Zurich's Audrey Bauer led all scorers with 26 points. Gabby Chapa added 10, as the Bears fell to 1-6 in the division.

Grayslake Central 68, Lakes 43: Kat Dickson scored 12 points and Skyler Jessop chipped in 10 to lead a balanced attack, as the Rams cruised in the nonconference game.

Grayslake Central (11-5) led 30-5 after the first quarter. Alex Scarbro had 9 points in the win, which snapped the Rams' three-game losing streak.

Lakes (4-11) received 10 points apiece from Mary Doupis and Ashley Parmly.

Prairie Ridge 62, Grayslake North 56: The Knights had three players score in double figures but fell short in the Fox Valley Fox Division game.

Lauren Erickson led Grayslake North (8-9, 2-4) with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kinsey Siler had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals, while Katie McGrath scored 11 points.

Prairie Ridge featured five players in double digits, paced by Anna Patras with 16 points.
