Senior forward Jeremy Buttell poured in a career-high 31 points Thursday at Youngstown State, but Robo Kreps (15.5 ppg) and Zavion Neely (12.7 ppg) combined for 17 points on 6-for-21 shooting. UIC also needs to hit the boards better. It loses the rebounding battle by an average of 6.2 per game. Cleveland State clearly has been benefiting from a late-December schedule that featured West Virginia, Ohio State and Kansas State. The Vikings have handled Youngstown and Loyola in the last week.
