Treat challenged employees kindly
Recently shopped at Clearbrook Resale Shop in Arlington Heights, and once again was aghast how this one manager spoke to this sweet "mentally challenged" employee. This is not the first time I've heard this manager over the years.
Arlington Heights recently has given an award for employers to hire "challenged mentally and physically" employees. I know people who have such children and are so grateful for their children to have jobs and trust them with their children. We have DCFS protecting our children, WINGS protects women and children of spousal abuse, but who's protecting our "at needs" employees?
Come on, Clearbrook management, with all the compassionate people out there who need jobs, why hire a manager who berates these innocent "mentally-challenged" employees? No award for Clearbrook, please.
