Odd they wouldn't plow the lake path

I just got back from a run that included Lake Arlington. To my surprise the snow had not been plowed at all. I don't understand why that is, because there has been plenty of time for the park district to take care of that duty.

There are plenty of us that can't afford a membership to a fitness club, or a treadmill. There are also many of us that enjoy the great outdoors for a refreshing walk or a brisk run. The fact that the park district would plow the parking lot, but not the path is beyond my comprehension. What is the point?

When we live in a time where insurance costs are going through the roof, partly because of people who don't take care of themselves. For those of us who are trying to take care of ourselves and have our resources not available is insane.

The Arlington Park District needs to re-evaluate its responsibility to the hundreds of residents that use the lake path every day. To ignore those taxpaying citizens is a shame.
