Core values make business successful
Thanks very much for your reflection on Stuart R. Paddock on 12/26 "The Press in the age of Internet." I earned your 1980 Daily Herald Carrier of the Year award, and I grew up reading, wrapping and delivering your newspapers in Palatine. I am pleased to read that you do not credit "good luck" or someone's "good graces" that keeps The Daily Herald and The Paddock Family in business. You correctly attribute your current and future success to hard work and a commitment to establish and deliver on core values each day. Mr. Paddock's family and company instilled such core values in their impressionable young news carriers many years ago, and they seem to be more important now than ever.
