Asks board to not hike municipal taxes

Please consider the following carefully before you consider another tax on the poor citizens. Having just received the latest real estate tax bill, I have to find another $200 out of my budget every month from now on, thanks to the incompetence of government.

I will have to adjust my budget. You should adjust your budget, not simply just reach into the pockets of taxpayers to bail you out! I and the citizens of Arlington Heights do not have that option. Balance your budget and quit complaining about it!

Sorry, but cut some stuff like your inflated salaries. I have to work on a budget, how about you? I told you not to allow such large houses to be built; now they lay empty and untaxable until sold!

Do you ever wonder why your income is not the greatest? I told you not to get nuts on the village hall, you were told the old building could be added on to at a much lesser cost, so you built you the Taj Mahal with overages in cost.

How about that performing arts deal? Did we get our money back yet? Do we really need a marquee sign that, I believe, cost around $200,000?

Before you consider another tax increase, please explain to my boss how I can ask for a 10 percent raise in pay so I can afford to live in this town!

By the way, my last increase was 2.8 percent. I will remember your action come election time.
