War on drugs a waste of money

My side hurts from laughing. I just read your piece by David N. Goodman, where he quotes the White House drug czar Gil Kerlikowske: "These latest data confirm that we must redouble our efforts to implement a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to preventing and treating drug use."

I thought I was reading "The Onion."

Ha, ha, Kerlikowske. These "teens" you are referring to smoking pot grew up watching U.S. TV, where every other commercial is for drugs. See, it works like this: "Problem? take our pill." Another sad example of wasted money and why Americans pay more than anyone else on the planet for prescriptions.

Unlike Kerlikowske, I see there is one reason, and one reason only, to continue the U.S. war on drugs: Keep the price up. Remember the example of CIA involvement with Oliver North, selling cocaine to finance the Contra affair? The U.S. government knows what is happening; George H.W. Bush was head of the CIA, after all.

You see, the CIA needs the price of drugs to stay "high" so they can raise money for projects they cannot get funded through Congress. Go to secretsofthecia. blog for more details.
