More spending is not the solution
In yet another blatant display of ignorance, inexperience and arrogance, President Obama proudly proclaimed that our government would have to spend its way out of this recession. There is not one personal adviser or business consultant that would advise their client to take such a path toward financial security. Unbridled government spending is the cause or our financial debacle, not the solution.
The "Houses for Everyone" philosophy of the government-sponsored entities Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac started our protracted recession. The mortgage and housing market collapse was followed in short order by a federal spending frenzy in the form of the TARP bailout, the stimulus bill and the omnibus bill.
We have a $1.4 trillion dollar budget deficit, a $13 trillion dollar national debt and unfunded obligations of $100 trillion dollars. We have proposed costly legislation for health care and cap and trade. The rate at which this administration is spending money is unsustainable. The next foreclosure to be posted will be at our borders.
