Scouting: North Dakota @ NIU
North Dakota (2-12) at Northern Illinois (2-8)
When: 3 p.m. at the Convocation Center
Radio: WSCR 670-AM
The skinny: After playing decently in Wednesday's home loss to No. 18 Temple, the Huskies try their luck against a team from the opposite end of the spectrum. North Dakota, in its second year of transition from Division II to Division I, has gone 0-11 against other Division I foes. Both teams rank among the nation's worst in offensive efficiency, though the Huskies' issue is errant shooting while the Sioux commit too many turnovers. NIU junior Xavier Silas posted a career-high 26 points against Temple. More important, Silas shot better than 40 percent (8 of 17) for the first time this season.
