Terrorists shouldn't be tried on U.S. soil
As an attorney with many years of trial experience, one of the tools to test witness' creditability is confronting them with prior inconsistent statements during a trial. The jury then weighs what they say in court versus what was said on previous occasions to determine their believability. As to our President, his statement concerning how to try terrorists before he became President is absolutely inconsistent with his instructions today to his Attorney General. The President's creditability has been destroyed by his own previous statements.
Equally important is his lack of concern about the risk he places on American citizens by having trials on the territory of the United States pursuant to the criminal civil justice rules and regulations. Why he would place our nation at such risk one can only imagine. One can conclude that he is nothing more than a naive political puppet from the Daley Administration or worse a Manchurian Candidate who could care less about the security of this nation. Neither scenario is good for our country. I encourage all citizens of this nation to rise up and object in a loud and clear voice that these terrorists should not be tried on American soil or in our judicial system, but should be tried before the military tribunals offshore. These are enemy combatants who want to destroy not only our civilization, but all of western civilization for radical religious reasons. They have no concern about life, since they convince people of their own belief to kill their children in explosive vests as well as innocent people. What our president doesn't understand is this is a religious war against all of mankind. We need to show strength, not weakness. We need to meet force with force. Contact your congressmen and senator to let them know your feelings. If you do not, then the country we know as the United States of America will fade into the dust like other great civilizations in history.
