Where are the top draft picks, Bears?

A wise man told me years ago about the NFL draft. The number one draft pick starts on opening day, period. No excuses, except for injury in training camp. The second- and third-round draft picks make the team and challenge the starters. The fourth-round picks through free agent signings are lucky to make the team.

The Bears current general manager does not have one top draft pick that started on opening day and played the entire game. He trades the second- and third-round draft selections, so there are no challengers to the starters.

The Bears are loaded with the "lucky ones" from draft day and the free agents off the waiver wires. The Bears are playing against teams that still have upper level draft choices, and the Bears are playing with the fourth-round players and castoffs.

There is no talent on the Bears to be competitive, period.
