Call for senator's death goes too far
In an even more mean and pathetic attempt to kill health care reform for millions of Americans, Republican Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma used the floor of the United States Senate to seemingly ask for prayers for another Senator, Robert Byrd, to either become too ill to vote or maybe die, so that the Democrats would not have enough votes to move the health care reform bill forward.
This is the level of evil which the Republican party has lowered itself to.
No Republican leader rebuked this remark or denounced it.
It is no wonder that less than 12 percent of Americans call themselves Republicans. Who would want to be associated with the party who worships the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. The majority of Americans want health care reform. Republicans can defend their position against affordable, accessible health care in the 2010 Congressional elections. My money is on the Democrats.
