We must prosecute this kind of behavior
I am appalled that the senate would vote for the current health care bill without sufficient time for all last minute additions to be studied and debated. Where was the transparency and 72-hour public viewing promised by the president? Why was the vote held in the middle of the night on the weekend when no one could be contacted?
If this bill is so good, why did Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have to bribe their members to vote for it?
How can some states be given favorable treatment over others just to get the vote? Is this constitutional?
If a private citizen or business tried to bribe a politician for favorable treatment, they would be prosecuted.
I believe the actions of Pelosi and Reid are illegal and they should be prosecuted.
Our health care system needs fixing, not replacement by a government run bureaucratic nightmare. The shortcomings could be fixed by following an engineering approach of continuous process improvement; identify the major contributors to the problem, develop possible solutions, run limited evaluation studies, select and implement the best solution.
