Tri-Cities police blotter

Batavia

• Ten dollars in change was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle, and $2 in change from another, in the 1500 block of Hadley Drive, it was reported at 6:12 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

• Someone damaged a jamb trying to pry open an apartment door in the 1100 block of East Wilson Street, it was reported at 1:38 p.m. Saturday, police said.

• A garage door opener was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of Richter Drive, it was reported at 1:41 a.m. Sunday. The owner told police they saw two boys take it.

• A painted wooden Santa Claus was taken out of a yard in the 800 block of Bailey Drive sometime Dec. 22 or 23, police said.

• Residents reported a multicolored necklace and a lighted magnifying glass were stolen out of two apartments in the Heritage Woods assisted living center, 1079 E. Wilson St. The thefts were reported at 3:04 and 3:19 p.m. Wednesday.

Kane County

• Jenaro Calderon-Roman, 25, of the 34W800 block of South James Drive, St. Charles, was charged with disorderly conduct after a domestic incident about 1 a.m. Friday at his residence, police said.

• Christopher S. Carroll, 57, of the 2400 block of Summerwind Lane, Montgomery, was charged with misdemeanor battery Wednesday at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, in St. Charles Township, according to a police report. Police said Carroll, an attorney, "bumped" his chest against another attorney during a dispute inside the courthouse. No one was hurt.

North Aurora

• Timothy J. Patzka, 39, of the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Saturday and charged with felony burglary after stealing assorted tools from a truck on the 400 block of Harmony Drive, according to a police report. A witness reported the burglary as it was in progress, and responding officers arrested Patzka nearby.
