Volunteerism a good reminder of our value

In the spirit of the holiday season, Huntley Jazzercise, with the assistance of the Grafton Food Pantry had the honor of adopting a family for a very special Christmas. Our student's overwhelming kindness and generosity of spirit helped a local family experience the magic and joy of the holiday.

Jazzercise joined together with local businesses - Karpet Keepers, 1st Choice Physical Therapy, Handy Hands, and the Cosmetology Spa and Institute - who were willing to give from their hearts and charitably donate their services.

Our adopted family received toys, clothes, food, books, gift cards and more. They also received the gift of community. The generosity and outpouring of support showed this family that even in the most challenging of economic times, people do care.

Most of us never know whether we affect someone else's life. Thank you for the reminder that each of us, in the most ordinary of passing moments, has the power to change lives and make miracles happen for someone else.
