Two men fatally shot in Peoria

PEORIA -- Police in Peoria say they are investigating the city's 15th and 16th homicides of the year -- the shooting deaths of two 54-year-old men in a parked minivan.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says Arther Bradford and Darnell Moore were pronounced dead early Thursday -- a short time after they were found shot on the city's south side.

Ingersoll says the motor of the minivan was still running when the men were found, and Moore was in the driver's seat. She says both victims appeared to have suffered multiple bullet wounds.

Police say they arrested a 48-year-old man on weapons charges several hours after the deaths but have declined to say whether he was considered a suspect, or merely a possible witness.
