Corbett withdraws from Palatine Twp. primary

Political consultant and small business owner Collin Corbett announced on Monday he has formally withdrawn his candidacy for Palatine Township Republican Committeeman.

Corbett, 23, endorsed candidate Aaron Del Mar over incumbent Gary Skoien in February's primary.

Corbett said he'll have many opportunities to run for office in the future and didn't want to chance a split vote that would give the victory to Skoien.

Del Mar, a Palatine councilman, welcomed Corbett's endorsement.
