Iowa hoping for improved offense in Orange Bowl
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- It can be argued that No. 10 Iowa earned a berth in next month's Orange Bowl in spite of its offense, not because of it.
Though the Hawkeyes won 10 games, and earned just their second BCS bowl berth, they seemed to fight uphill battles every Saturday. That's in large part because Iowa scored just 23.1 points a game this season, putting up 15 points or less in three of their final five games.
That's not going to cut it in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 5, when Iowa faces No. 9 Georgia Tech. The Hawkeyes know they will have to rack up the points if they're going to have a shot at beating the Yellow Jackets.
Tight end Tony Moeaki says the Hawkeyes are working to get healthy and get their timing down on offense.
